16 Jan Contour Essentials
You can’t be a Kardashian wannabe (as much of the Internet accuses me of being), if you don’t contour your face. In five minutes, you can give yourself a facelift and lose five/ten pounds with contouring tricks. I use two key tools for contouring. I use the Anastasia Contour Kit when I’ve got time to doll up.
I use Tarte’s The Sculptor contour pen when I’m in a rush or want a dewier look. I often used the pen on the Bachelor girls when they wanted me to do their contouring.
First thing’s first. You need to know what parts of your face to highlight and what parts you want to contour. As you probably know there’s a zillion YouTube tutorials on this and I could add to that number and make one myself if demand is high enough. I taught myself to contour off face maps like this one.
I like this “face map” because it’s relatively simple compared to others. I’ve always been a visual learner. Below are images both Anastasia and Tarte have made available on their respective websites to help teach you how to use their products. Print it all out and put in in your vanity or makeup bag to guide you before you become a contour pro!
