18 Jun I Don’t Get It Podcast: Episode 130
Episode 130 -Inside Instagram: I spend A LOT of time on Instagram both because it is part of my job and because it keeps me entertains and satisfies my curiosity in bursts. While perhaps the science behind the algorithm affects my life (er, bank account) more than some, I think it’s a fascinating thing for most of Instagram’s regular users. Like, why some of my stories get thousands of more views than other ones?! People don’t know kind of content it is before hitting the icon! This week on the podcast Naz, Lauren and I talk to Josh Constine from TechCrunch, who is an expert when it comes to improving not only your Instagram presence but your experience as a user. He graduated from Stanford University in 2009 with a masters in Cybersociology. He specializes in privacy, amenity, meme popularity cycles (isn’t it crazy that’s study!?) and how tech is changing interpersonal relationships. Instagram may seem like a mindless app, but this podcast will teach you how it’s affecting our mental health as a society and what’s being done to prevent further harm. If you have ever wondered how or why Instagram became the monster platform it is, listen to the podcast below. Constine always advises how to grow your followers and your like counts and I know you want to listen for that!
