16 Sep The Splurge Item: Clarisonic Mia2
I went into Macy’s to get a new bottle of my favorite Tarte Maracuja Oil and came out spending $150 more than planned. A pretty sales girl said, “Do you have a Clarisonic?” I had been itching to get one of the fancy sonic cleansing brushes since seeing my girl crush, former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo in the gadget’s magazine ads. I told the sales girl, “Please don’t talk to me about it. I’m too tempted.” Within two minutes of her convincing testimony and additional glowing raves by her fellow sales girls, I was at the register with a Clarisonic Mia2. They told me it would change my skin within days. They were right! I’m obsessed.
This thing is worth the splurge if you don’t already have flawless skin. I don’t often breakout in hormonal acne anymore (and this brush won’t help with that), but I’ll get a few little bumps or pustules a month. I’ve been using the Mia2 for two weeks now and not a single imperfection has popped up and my skin feels so soft and clean. You may think, my face always feels clean after I wash it. Well, I used to think that too. Now I know what clean really feels like.
On the days I wear make-up, I use a Tarte Maracuja make-up wipe to get everything off before washing. I thought between that and my cleanser, all traces of my foundation would be gone. Not the case. The Mia2 picks up plenty of make-up and residue left behind. The sonic brush cleans so deeply, it allows moisturizers, oils, topicals, etc. penetrate farther into pores furthering the skin beautifying effects. Acne prone or extra sensitive? There are brushes specifically for you.
It seems like a lot to spend, but it’s an investment. I promise. It’ll make you feel prettier instantly and for the long haul.
